Our Cores

Core Facilities

Cores are centralized facilities or labs which offer shared services, shared equipment, resources and expertise to biomedical researchers and investigators on a fee-for-service basis.

Advanced Genomics

provides high-quality, low-cost DNA analysis for research clients on a recharge basis, including genotyping, gene expression analysis, DNA quantification and quality control

Bioinformatics

develops and applies computational tools and methods to biological or biomedical research data including acquisition, storage, organization, analysis, or visualization of data

Biomedical Research Store

provides easy, on-site procurement of more than 700 different items, including enzymes, reagents, and kits used in molecular, cell biology, and some protein chemistry

Epigenomics

provides resources and services to prepare samples for analysis in epigenetic regulation in both genome-wide and locus-specific manners

Flow Cytometry

provides instrumentation and expertise in flow cytometric analysis and cell sorting

Metabolomics

measures and analyzes concentrations of small molecules in biological samples, including targeted and untargeted assays. Services include initial consultation, method development, data collection, interpretation, and presentation.

Microscopy

offers equipment for microscopic imaging, including fluorescence microscopy, as well as scanning and transmission electron microscopy

Proteomics & Peptide Synthesis

exceptional access to research services in peptide synthesis, qualitative and quantitative proteomics and protein analysis by mass spectrometry and other techniques

Transgenic Animal Model

produces transgenic mice and rats, CRISPR/Cas9 pipeline, mouse knockout models, ES cell lines, and BAC Recombineering

Vector

produces gene transfer vectors, using AAV, adenovirus, lentivirus, retrovirus, and plasmids, that facilitate the transfer of specific genes into either normal or aberrant cells
