Claudia Lalancette, Ph.D. joined the Epigenomics Core as lab manager in March 2015. She brings more than 10 years of experience in genomics and microarrays to the Core. She has served as Managing Director of the Core since September 2016. Claudia received her Ph.D. in physiology and endocrinology from Laval University (Université Laval) in 2004, and M.S. in human nutrition in 1998 from Laval University. Claudia obtained a Specialised Graduate Diploma (DESS) in Bioinformatics from Université du Québec à Montréal in 2014.
She worked as a postdoctoral fellow both at the Candian government studying spermatozoal RNA in fertile bulls and at Wayne State University, where she characterized mRNAs and small noncoding RNAs in spermatozoa of fertile men. Prior to joining the University of Michigan, Claudia worked at McGill University as a research associate screening compounds for toxicity potential, using high throughput techniques.
